Optional Homework / Spelling

Hi Parents, just letting you all know there is optional homework this weekend! The children have been briefed on the task and I get the impression most of them will get into it over the weekend if time allows. Their homework is to design a poster advertising the Space Tour we are preparing. We were meant to do this in class but we are quickly running out of time and have other things to do. Each child has a list of details they can copy the information from. They can reword it if they wish. Computer entries are welcome. Feel free to e-mail me the finished product and I will print it here at school. Encourage them to get creative - as long as it can be photocopied easily, anything goes. All poster entries are due Monday 11th June.

At the end of this term Room 3 will retested on the spelling test given to them at the start of the year. This is not the 100 word test that goes into their portfolio, but another spelling test that helps me estimate which book they will learn their weekly set of words from. I suspect most children will move up one book level. The test will be administered soon and I will happily share the data with you on request. Any problems in the future with spelling words (too hard or too easy) please contact me.
